Team Bissa will on Wednesday battle it out against the Zabarmas at the second round stage of the maiden Zongo inter tribal Gala.
The “Zekula Mystic” men will be seeking a quarter final ticket after overcoming a stubborn Chokosi challenge in the preliminary stage , with help from a magnificent display by goalkeeper Faisal Alhassan.
It is a hot clash involving two of the tournament’s biggest favourites, with the Zabarmas coming into the fray with a 3-0 victory over the Dandaawas.
Both sides gave off an outstanding performance in their first test and their exploits makes their game one of a titanic.
The match, which will be the fourth of the second round clashes, is expected to be keenly contested and one of the best to be staged at the Kanda Cluster of Schools park.
They are competing for a place in Quater-Final, which already has the Ga-Adangmes and Mossis comfortably waiting.
The Zabarmas faced a less of a trouble when they simply cruised over their Dandaawa in their March Day 7 encounter.
But their strength will be put to test against the resilient Bissa team, who fought from a goal down to beat the Chokosis by 3-2 on penalties.
The tournament, which began with the core aim of uniting the Zongo tribes, has lived up to its billing, for which 4 teams later joined the initial 18 for societal laurels.
Both teams have promised their fans of victory, but it’s the Bissas who are much under pressure to deliver, following the huge expectations from their massive support base across the region.
They have been able to court the interest of their leaders into the tribal soccer fiesta and the onus now lies in the hands of Coach Sulley Rush and his technical staff to add more bites to the team to go in for the kill against a well composed Zabarma side.
