Young Physician at Kojach Medical Centre Dr Yakubu Tobor Yusuf Gorga has been appointed as the Special Duty Officer, (HR) of the  Bissa Development Association (BDA).

It comes few days after the new administration of the BDA was sworn into office on Saturday, 6th March.

He is in a list of seven appointees to serve in different capacities under the Gutare-led Administration.

Doctor Yakubu, from the Zuuro clan,  joined the BDA in 2017  and has been a dedicated member of the powerful Bissa association.

In reaction to his appointment, which was confirmed last week at an Executive Committee sitting, he expressed gratitude for the “honour” done him.

” I am honoured to be called upon to serve in the stated capacity, he said.

“I hope to be of benefit in whatever task and responsibilities is given me.”

Dr Yakub, a Bissa from  Garu, is a product of Elite College and a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) , both in Kumasi.

His appointment marks a new paradigm and a responsibility for Bissa  youth to fully  participate in the “Zekula” agenda.

The new administration has a three-year mandate to steer the affairs of the BDA, which has been a strong force behind the progress of the Bissas people.

The seven new appointees are slated for swearing in on Saturday, which will be administered by the Chairman Alhaji Shaibu Musah Gutare.

They will join the five elected members at the National Executive Committee (NEC) level in carrying their three-year mandate.
