Senior Comerade Omar Amadu-Dabou has heaped praises on “influencer” Sumani Musah Yemboni, describing BDA as “the most honest man” he has ever known

It marks a revelation from one of two men, among many, who came together in building a strong family.

Dabou’s tribute to his Yemboni brother comes in a comment to a photo of a news item posted on Facebook by Bissanewsonline.com.

The news portal had shared a story concerning the Office of the Lemagan sending an Eid-al Adha message to Muslims, of which Sumani appeared in the feature image the story.

The image used for the story was one of those taken on 16th, of April, 2022 when the BDA held the Zekula Poore conference at GNAT Hall in Accra, from which Sumani sits at the left side of the Lemagan.

Their friendship has lived on for close to thirty years and viewing from the opposite direction, Dabou paid a glowing tribute to the man “at the right”, reminiscing their collective efforts in building a formidable Bissa fraternity.

“My influencer Sumani Musa Yemboni at the right,” Dabor wrote in his praise-filled comment.

“God bless you and your generations for your selflessness, positive advice, honesty and integrity without par.”

“He is the most honest man i know in my life of 70+.
Whatever he tells you comes true. He was pivotal in organising us leading to Zekula.
We have been friends for close to thirty years. He and his wife signed my wedding certificate.”

It was the second time Mr Dabou  was hailing Sumani in a comment on Facebook, urging the youth to emulate what the senior comerades did for the Bissa fraternity.

Erudite Sumani Musa Yemboni was at the Zekula Poore on April 16th.

It is not known the level of love and cohesion that has existed between the two but Dabou’s recount on his brother creats a nostalgic image of how it all began with the formation of the Zekula festival.

He had earlier shared his heart-melting relationship with the popularly known as elder Sumani, admiring his “pivotal role” in the Creation of the Zekula festival

“My best friend and brother. He played a pivotal role in the formation of the Zekula that we see today,” Dabou said in April 2022.

“He was the organizer while i was the secretary of the core group at Tamal when it all began in 1997.”

Both Sumani and Omar-Dabou are among some Bissa Greats, who came together to establish the study group, which gave birth to the Bissa Development Association (BDA).

While Omar-Dabou is active on social media (Facebook), Sumani, on the hand, wants to stay away from the cameras, despite playing football to highest level.

He is one of the legends of Real Tamale United (RTU) and his strategic approach to issues makes him one the most adored men in the history of Bissas in Ghana.

His last public appearance was on 16th April when he attended Zekula Poore in Accra, where he delivered a short but heartwarming speech to the applause of a charged audience at the GNAT Hall.
