Latifa Iddrisu Ayobi, Halima Ambi Sareni, and Mohammed Yelbi had their respective degrees conferred on them as the university held another in-person graduation ceremony for the second time since COVID restrictions came into effect in 2020.
A first degree and two master’s degrees defined the week for the three Bissas, who successfully graduated from one of the most prestigious universities in the country.
The two ladies and the gentleman were decorated in style after successfully completing their respective programs during the 2020–2021 academic year.
Under the sycamore trees on the WARC Park of the University’s Greenhill campus in Accra, the parade of over 1,000 graduates marked yet another overwhelming story for the Bissa fraternity.
Held in sessions on the 17th and 18th of December, the 2021 edition of the ceremony was held in a face-to-face fashion with limited physical attendees in strict observance of the COVID-19 protocols.
Halima Sareni and Mohammed Yelbi, on the other hand, grabbed their academic honors in MBA Finance and MBA Accounting, respectively, adding to the successes being chalked up by Bissas in the field of academia.
It was a moment of celebration as they were among the thousands of students whose names are now recorded in the good books of the institution.
And their special day was made even more so with the presence of friends and families at the colorful convocation and award ceremony.
The University in 2020 had to postpone a graduation ceremony from July to November, making it possible to hold an in-person program amid COVID-19 challenges.
