The Dabres meet: Bawku Bissa Chief arrives in Accra for the 10th anniversary celebration of Chief Ali Dabre’s coronation

The Bissa Chief of Bawku Amadu Haruna Dabre has arrived in Accra to participate in the 10th Anniversary celebration of the coronation of the Bissa Chief of Greater Accra Mohammed Ali Dabre III on Saturday 28th November.

Information gathered by Bissanewsonline indicates the Bawku Chief landed in the nation’s capital in the early hours of Friday to grace the grand durbar to be held at the Kawokudi Park to celebrate 10 years of leadership of his Greater Accra counterpart, who assumed power in October 2010.

It is a historic visit of a powerful Dabre of one jurisdiction to another powerful Dabre of another jurisdiction, which is expected to create a dazzling spectacle that could go a long way to put the Zekula agenda in fine fettle.

His presence signifies the importance of the occasion as he joins the entire Bissa fraternity in an action-packed event that will be held in a strict observance of the covid-19 protocols.

The event themed: “Securing peace before, during and after the 2020 election; the role of Zongo Chiefs” will also involve other political party representatives as the country heads to the polls on December 7th.

It comes as one of the most important events to be commemorated by Bissas in the year 2020, having achieved great feats under the much coveted “Zekula” umbrella.

As part of activities, there will be Qur’an recitation to mark the 10 year milestone chalked by the debonair lecturer, under whose leadership the Bissa influence in the region continues to hit the higher heights.

The program, which was originally slated for 21st of November, had to be rescheduled to the 28th as a number of great personalities are expected to grace the day.

At the heart of commemoration will be a special address by the Chief himself, which will gather memories from past years and highlight experiences and progresses being made under his leadership.

The day will also be used to formally introduce his 24 cabinet members, made up of 12 males and 12 females, who have supported him to carry his mandate equitably.

Kir Mohammed Ali Dabre III, a celebrated lecturer, ascended to the throne after the demise of his elder brother, Osman Ali Dabre II on 30th October, 2010.

His leadership style has been hailed by many for being a focal point that saw the expansion and influence of the Bissa fraternity across the country.

The ceremony to be held at the Mamobi Kawokudi Park will see the display of the beautiful Bissa culture to add more colour to the event.

The day is expected to attact a huge presence of people with majority of Bissas travelling from far and near to witness the commemoration of a milestone.

Above all, Saturday’s event will represent a remembrance of the day Chief Mohammed Ali Dabre III was consecrated to a lifetime of service to his people in the Greater Accra region.
