The Bissa Development Association (BDA) has sent a “big congratulations” to six new Bissa Doctors who were inducted into office this year, urging them to remain guided by the Hippocratic Oath they swore.
Between the months of July and October, four males and two females of Bissa descent have been inducted into the office to begin their service as certified doctors.
The success stories of Dr. Farida Ganform Adam Tarnageda, Dr. Hamdalah Haruna Sanwini, Dr. Abdul-Mumin Haruna Zeeda, Dr. Naabo Mohammed Najeeb, Dr. Wuni Andul Nasir Zeeda, and Dr. Rabiu Abubakar Zanzeh have been awesome, and the BDA has joined many other Bissas in the celebration.
In a statement issued by the chairman, Shaibu Musah Gutare Zanni, the BDA described the six as heroes and heroines who sacrificed their youthful fun to achieve their goals.
“The medical field, as we all know, is a field of total devotion to the pursuit of knowledge,” Chairman Gutare said.
“Having sacrificed your comfort and youthful fun to dedicate yourself to this cause, it calls for your celebration as our heroes and heroines.”
“On behalf of the National Executive Committee of the BDA, we wish you, our brothers and sisters, the very best in your chosen profession.” “We pray for God’s guidance and blessings on your lives, and may God bless all those who toiled to bring you this far.”
While Fareeda Ganform had her induction ceremony in July after graduating from the University of Ghana Medical School, Nadia had her six years of medical training in Chaina.
After writing her licensure exams in August, she joined the four male medical graduates in the induction ceremony on October 29.
They six now join a long list of Bissa Medical practitioners who are making the fraternity proud through their contribution to the country’s health delivery system.
The BDA, however, urged the young new doctors to be guided by the hypocritical oath they swore in order to give their best service to their patients.
Below is the full statement
A big congratulations to our young doctors. The medical field as we all know, is a field of total devotion to the pursuit of knowledge. Having sacrificed your comfort and youthful fun to dedicate yourself to this cause, calls for your celebration as our heroes and heroines.
What is more important is that, you continue to be guided by the Hippocratic oath you swore, I.e. sacrificing to provide quality health to the best of your abilities, to all manner of persons, be it rich or poor, black or white, etc.
Remember, that your success or otherwise in this noble profession, will not be measured by the fact that you have sworn the sacred oath, but largely on how you manifest the meaning of this sacred oath in the course of your work as doctors, especially when under extreme pressure.
On behalf of the National Executive Committee of the BDA, we wish you, our brothers and sisters, the very best in your chosen profession. We pray for God’s guidance and blessings onto your lives and May God bless all those who toiled to bring you this far.
