A young Bissa girl named Rabi Shaibu Yorda has been enrolled in a fashion design training programme under the Sare Education and Business Empowerment (SEBE) project spearheaded by Kir Suallah Saeed, Chief of Bortianor/New Weija.
Rabi, a prospect Bissa girl, becomes the latest beneficiary of the project after being selected to undergo three years of intensive training in fashion design with the goal of honing her skills to become a professional in the field.
Sje is one of over a hundred people who have benefited from Chief Saeed’s SEBE project so far. She will undergo three years of intensive training in fashion design, through which she can gain the skills and experience needed to become a professional fashion designer.
“I am very excited to begin this training programme and learn the skills I need to have a successful career in fashion,” said Yorda.
“I am grateful to Chief Saeed for making this opportunity available to me and other Bissa youth through his wonderful SEBE project.”
This initiative forms part of Kir Suallah Saeed Sare’s broader vision to alleviate poverty and empower the youth by providing them with valuable skills and opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
Chief Saeed launched the SEBE project officially on November 12, 2023, with the aim of alleviating poverty and empowering Bissa youth in his community.
Even before the official launch, the project had already provided scholarships to students pursuing tertiary and nursing training. Some businesswomen also received soft loans, while some vegetable farmers were given support to acquire land and seedlings
The SEBE project marks a major effort by Chief Saeed to uplift and empower the Bissa people in his community through education, skills training, and business development initiatives. Halima’s enrollment is the latest example of the project’s success so far.
