Rev Dr Narbo: Bissa Christian cleric dies at 66

A Bissa Reverend with the Presbyterian Church in Tamale Dr Bugri Narbo has died at the age of 66.

The influential Bissa man died on Tuesday, 5th July, at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH), according to announcement made by the Tamale branch of the  Bissa Development Association (BDA)

He was a dues-paying member of the association and had actively participated in Bissa functions for Zekula purposes.

Rev Narbo was the Director of Presbyterian Lay Training Center in the Northern Regional Capital.

The Tamale branch of BDA said it was reporting the demise of the Father and a brother with “sorrow”.

“The BDA executive of Tamale, NR is with sorrow to announce the demise of our father/ brother, in the person of Rev. Dr. Bugri Narbo. The sad incident occurred yester, Tuesday the 5/7/2022 at TTH,” it said.

Reverend Narbo, who marked his 66th birthday on June 15th, is a native of Waare- Kultamsi in the Pusiga District.

Tributes have been pouring in on social media for the cleric, who trained mentored many children in the church.

He is survived by a and four children.

According to the regional BDA, burial and funeral announcement would be made by the family in due course.
