Bissas staged a mammoth ceremony on Sunday 2nd October to cap activities marking the coronation of Kir Mustapha Dawuda Lengani as the Bissa Chief, Gomoa Fetteh.
The Chief, having been nominated by the Gomoa Fetteh Traditional Council, needed to go through traditional Bissa rituals to mark the beginning of his reign, and it came off in a flamboyant fashion.
The ceremony took place at Kasoa, where the chief, together with his subchiefs, was crowned.
Powerful chiefs, religious leaders, businessmen and women from across the country were among the dignitaries who made it to the colourful event—a testament to Kir Lengani’s far-reaching appeal and deft diplomacy.
Hundreds of people flocked to the Nana Adjei Palace at Krispol City, while others lined up along the streets hoping to catch a glimpse of the Kir’s investiture.
