The Bissa Chief of New Bortianor/New Weija embarked on a visit to the Ali Dabre Palace on Thursday to show appreciation to Chief Mohamed Ali Dabre III for his support.
It was one of two important visits made by Kir Suallah Sare just five days after taking office as the Bissa Chief of the New Bortianor/New Weija Community.
He was accompanied by an eight-member entourage, led by the Bissa Chief of Nyanyano, Chief Zakaria Bayire, to meet Chief Ali Dabre III at his palace in Nima.
It was a day of expression of appreciation from a new chief and a reciprocation with prayers and blessings from an authority who occupies the seat at the powerful Bissa palace.
Kir Sare was coronated at the Ali Dabre Palace on Saturday, May 22nd, and his return to the house marks his first official visit since his investiture.
Speaking on behalf of Kir Sare, the Bissa Imam of Greater Accra Bissa, Sheikh Hassan Nombre, described the visit as one of “great importance”.
“Under your auspices and in this very house last Saturday, we had the opportunity to make progress by swearing in another chief to lead Bissas in New Bortiano,” he said.
“It marks a great feat for the fraternity, and his return to this venue is to show appreciation and gratitude for what the council under your leadership has done.”
“So today’s visit is of great importance to him as well as the council of Bissa Chiefs.”
In his response, Kir Ali Dabre III reciprocated the honor with a special prayer, calling for God’s blessings and protection for Kir Sare, who becomes a new entrant into the Greater Accra Council of Bissa Chiefs.
Thursday was a special day set aside by Kir Saare to reach out to some of the most important personalities in the Bissa fraternity.
Before landing in the Dabre Palace, he first paid a courtesy call to former MP for Ayawaso North and former Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Mustapha Ahmed, at the latter’s Accra Airport residence.
Kir Suallah Sare was accompanied by Greater Accra Bissa Imam Hassan Nombre, the Bissa Chief of Nyanyano Zakaria Bayire, the Chief of Darkuman Abdul Razak Omar Bambara, Chief Samadulugu of Shukura, and Mansur Dabre, who is a special aide to the Chief.
Others include protocol officer Mahmud Bansi, Tanko Abdul Malik Guerm, and Alhaji Issaka Nombre, who are the deputy secretary and organizer of the Bissa Development Association, respectively.
