Nadia Ali-Yallah, daughter of Dr. Alidu Ali-Yallah, has been called to the Georgia, USA Bar, joining her aunt, lawyer Hajia Fati Ali-Yallah, in the legal profession.
In her early 20s, Nadia becomes the youngest lawyer to emerge from the Bissa fraternity, having successfully completed her legal education at Mercer University Law School in Macon, Georgia, USA.
In a ceremony held on November 4, 2022, the young Bissa lady grabbed her certificate to become a full-fledged member of the State Bar of Georgia, US.
Nadia’s call to the bar in the US comes just five months after her aunt Fati Ali-Yallah was called to the Ghana bar.
Born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Nadia and her parents moved to the United States at a young age.
She is a girl with impeccable academic performance, and attaining the Wig is a testament to her hardworking nature.
To practice law in the United States, any lawyer—foreign or domestic—must be admitted to the bar association of the state in which they wish to practice. As a result of this fragmented system, each US state establishes its own rules for bar admission.
And Nadia met all the conditions of admission, leading to her success story this year.
Before beginning her law studies at Mercer University Law School in Macon, Georgia, USA, Nadia had completed her undergraduate degree at Georgia State University.
She is a product of Eastside High School in Covington, Georgia, where she graduated with honors.
She joins a long list of Bissas in the learned profession and is just one of three Bissa women to be called to the Bar this year.
Nadia is the daughter of Dr. Ali-Yallah, a Georgia-based Bissa business mogul, and a niece of Alhaji Salifu Ali Chiburr and Lawyer Fati Ali-Yallah.
