Bissas’ Nihad Iddrisu Ayobi has called for a last day votes as she looks poised for victory in the Miss Upper East beauty peagent to be held in Bolgatanga on Saturday 2nd January 2021.
Nihad had a stellar performance at the eviction stage last Wednesday to qualify to the Finals, which has six ladies contesting for the ultimate.
Acting as a medical doctor at the Semi-Finals finals, her stage performance got her voted among the best 5 talents by the judges and she is in a poll position to win the competition if she can get more votes within hours.
Her knowledge about Bissa history and culture and narrating it in a more captivating fashion has so far given her a more competitive advantage over her peers in the keenly contested pageant.
She has improved tremendously but her close competitor stands between the Bissa Lady and victory.
Nihad finds herself at the second position of the public voting list, trailing her close competitor by 192 votes as the competition gets keener on the last day.
She has therefore urged Bissas for more votes to take over the voting log as she caps it off with her stage performance tonight.
“Please vote for me to move to the top and my performance will finalise everything ,” she told Bissanewsonline.
“The highest voter will make it to the top and now the person’s performance will conclude her wining.
“I was first on the voting list but the second person has overtaken me and I will need more votes to take it back.
“Please keep the votes coming and let win it together.”
Nihad is contestant no.6 and one can vote for her by dialing *858*1*1# as voting closes at 8pm to tonight .
She is the only Bissa among the 12 ladies selected across the region to promote their respective cultures for pride.
The Finals of the 3rd edition of the miss Upper East will be held today at the GNAT Hall in the regional capital, Bolgatanga..
The first edition of the competition went to Bolgatanga as the second went to Bawku.
But the 3rd edition promises to be keenly contested as it gets bigger and better.
The Bissa lady had her basic and junior high school education in Bawku and further went to Islamic Girls Senior High in the Eastern Region.
Currently studying at Valley View University (main campus), she has ventured into the contest of Miss upper East Ghana, which she believes a push from the Bissa fraternity will boost her chances for victory.
