The Bissa Development Association (BDA) organised the Bissa Youth Forum on August 12 as one of the four structures.
The run-up to the event was characterised by a vigorous campaign, and one name that has been making waves across the country is Abdul Mumin Shaban Bandawo, the talented graphic designer behind all the captivating countdown flyers.
Bandawo, a creative genius with a passion for visual storytelling, became the driving force behind the artistic branding of the Bissa Youth Forum event.
From day one, the level 200 IT student at Lakeside University College (LUCG) held the responsibility of creating visually appealing and eye-catching promotional materials that garnered significant attention.
His journey as a graphic designer began at a young age, fueled by his love for art and design. With a natural talent for aesthetics and an exceptional eye for details, he honed his skills over the years, constantly pushing his boundaries to create innovative and visually stunning designs.
When the Bissa Youth Forum approached Bandawo to undertake the important task of designing the countdown flyers for the launch, he was thrilled and honoured.
“I didn’t need to think over it when I was contacted for the task; it was something I was always ready to do,” he said.
“As a Bissa, doing something for my own people is an honour, and I grabbed that opportunity at once.”
Recognising the significance of the event, Shaban Bandawo poured his heart and soul into every design he produced.
He meticulously selected a picture for a 15-day countdown that resonated with the target audience.
He worked tirelessly to ensure that each flyer captured the essence and spirit of the Bissa Youth Forum.
He experimented with various colour palettes, typography, and graphical elements to create distinct and captivating flyers for each stage of the countdown.
His attention to detail and ability to evoke emotions through his designs became evident from the overwhelming positive responses received from the community.
Beyond his technical expertise, Bandawo’s dedication and commitment to his craft set him apart. Despite facing challenges and tight deadlines, he constantly communicated with the Bissa Youth Forum team, ensuring that his designs aligned with their vision and objectives.
