The Bissa Lemagan has sent his Easter wishes to Christians, linking the special occasion to the celebration of Zekula.
He touched on the unity among Bissas that transcends religious backgrounds, a feat that has kept the fraternity growing.
A statement issued by the office of the Lemagan on Sunday, which is the resurrection day of Jesus, sought to remind Bissas of their family ties and the reason to live by their Zekula values.
It described the period as ” special time for all Bissas”.
The 2021 Easter fell on 4th April, just a day after Bissas marked this year’s Zekula Day in absentia.
“Easter is always a special time for all Bissa all over the world,” the statement read.
“While it is a special occasion for our Christian brothers and sisters, it is also of further significance to all Bissa Woo because of the celebration of Zekula.”
“The Lemagan wishes our Christian brothers and sisters and their families a Happy Easter.”
April 3rd has been set aside by Bissas as the day to celebrate the annual Zekula Festival at Kulungungu in the Upper East region of Ghana.
But due to Covid-19 challenges, the grand event, that has brought Bissas together could not be held.
