Five of Bissa greats, including the Legendary Sumani Yemboni and Lawyer Hajia Fati Ali-Yallah, will on Sunday receive honours for their dedicated service to the Bissa fraternity, Bissanewsonline has gathered.
They are to receive a citation each on a day Madina hosts the rest of Bissas to a feast.
The list also includes Kir Adam Yurusah Bandawo, Alhaji Abdulai Issah, Alhaji Musa Issifu, who have all played diverse roles in ensuring BDA is extended to every corner of the country.
For Sumani Musah Yemboni, sunday’s award will be a confirmation of appreciation for his long decades of service towards the development of Bissa.
His involvement to the Bissa unification agenda dates back to the 1980s.
He became the organiser to the group of men and who pooled their resources together for the formation of the BDA
Sunday’s Get-together is being organized by the Madina Zone of the Bissa Development Association (BDA) at the residence of the former Bissa chairman Alhaji Awudu.
It comes under the auspices of the Chief Adam Yurusa, who is a member of council of elders of the fraternity.
This forms part of a strategic plan to bring Bissas to one venue to fete, meet and greet while the National Executive Committee (NEC) uses the opportunity to explain some policies of the association to members.
The event is scheduled to begin at 9am will have many other Bissas greats in attendance, officials say.
