A founding member of the Bissa Development Association (BDA), Madam Comfort Zenabu Naabor Musah will on Saturday be buried in Accra, marking the end of an exceptional Bissa woman, who contributed in transforming a study group into a developmental group.
The Bissas fraternity among many others will be offered the chance to pay their last respect to the late Madam Comfort, who was popularly known as Lady King, a name derived from her company, Lady King Construction Limited.
It comes 7 weeks after her sudden demise at the Korle Bu teaching hospital.
Dignitaries are expected to file pass the body of the late mother of three, who will be laid in state at the forecourt of her Klagon residence in Accra.
According to family statement, the burial proceedings of the late Educationist and Civil Engineer, will commence at 7 am Saturday which will be followed by Thanksgiving Service on Sunday.
Her funeral is one of two mournful events that the Bissa Fraternity will have to deal with on Saturday, as that of the BDA Organiser Osman Issaka Nombre is set to be held about an hour later.
Saturday, marks the end of an extraordinary journey that began 63 years ago of a Pusiga royal, who lived to become a beacon of hope to many women in the country.
She has an unblemished track records of service to the Bissa Fraternity, through the formation of the Bissa Study Group (BSG) that would ultimately give birth to the Bissa Development Association (BDA), which has gloriously grown into a mother association for all Bissas.
Lady king died on the 18th of October at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.
The burial proceedings begins with a Wake Keeping on Friday at her residence in Klagon, in accordance to Christian practices.
Requiem Mass for the late mother will be held on Saturday, followed by Internment at the Anne and Joachim Church and Cemetery, respectively.
Final Funeral rites will be held at her Klagon residence on same Saturday to be followed with Thanksgiving-Giving Service on Sunday to cap off a befitting celebration of life of a legendary Bissa who championed the course of Bissa Unity in the country.
Madam Comfort Zenabu Naabor Musah, who lost her Husband some few months earlier, is survived by three children – all females.
Some Few things to know about Lady King
Madam Comfort Zenabu Naabor Musah aka Lady King was the first daughter of the late chief of Mandago, Pusiga. She was also the CEO of Lady King Construction Limited and a founding member of the Bissa Development Association (BDA).
She was an Educationist and rose to the rank of Assistant Director of Education. Her last posting was to the Tamale Metro Education Unit as the Welfare Officer. She voluntarily retired from active service in 2012.
She was a very successful building contractor and calling the shots at Lady king Construction Limited. She excelled in that industry over many of her male colleagues. She constructed buildings for many organizations including SSNIT, Barclays Bank, the Ghana Armed Forces, Get Fund and many more.
She was also a Strong Pillar behind the political career of the late Iron Lady of Ghana, Hon. Hawa Yakubu.
