Team Bissa’s campaign in the ongoing Zongo Inter tribal Gala hit a rock after they were beaten 1-0 by the Kotokolis in their fierce Quarter-final tie on Sunday.

The Bissas failed to hold on to a long contest and conceded late to the disappointment of their huge fans, who had thronged to the Kanda Cluster of Schools in hopes for a Semi-Final ticket.

An 85th minutes lead  by the Kotokolis left the Bissas with too little to fight back like they had always done in their previous too matches.

Grabbing an equaliser became more difficult for a well determined Bissa team who were considered as one of the pre-tournament favorites.

The fiercely contested game saw both teams playing with rapt attention to their technical direction as none was ready for any Valentine Day shocks.

But it was profligacy and lack of keeping composure that caused the Bissas the most, having created all the chances in the game.

The Kotokolis chances came in a blunder on the side of the Bissa defense men and they made no mistake to slot home for the only goal in the game.

With less than 10 minutes to end precedence, it was always going to be difficult for the trailing team to turn things around in a close contest like theirs.

Despite their loss the team has been hailed by the Bissa leadership, urging the management to work harder to strengthen the squad for more soccer challenges.

The victory on Sunday now sends the Kotokolis into the last 4 of the competition which was organised to foster unity among tribes in the Song is.
