At the Independence Square, where the nation gathered to commemorate Labour Day, Kir Yurusah stood tall as he was conferred the 2024 National Best Worker Award by the Organized Labour.

This coveted honor, which came with a placard and a 55-inch Samsung television, was a testament to his outstanding contributions and exemplary work ethic throughout his career. But the icing was put on the cake when the Organised Labour followed to honour Kir Yurusah with a television and a citation, adjudging him as the 2024 best worker.

Prior to receiving the Best Worker Award, Kir Yurusah was honored at the same venue with the 2024 May Day National Award from the Public Utility Workers Union (PUWU).

In a ceremony graced by the presence of the President, Kir Yurusah received this esteemed recognition for his “invaluable contribution to the union in his capacity as a former Divisional Chairman of ECG Accra Sub-T.”

The citation accompanying the PUWU award read: “Public Utility Workers Union of TUC (Ghana) presents this award to Brother Alhaji Adams Yurusahn For his invaluable contribution to the union in his capacity as a former Divisional Chairman of ECG Accra Sub-T.”

The May Day National Awards, annually bestowed upon distinguished Ghanaians across various fields, celebrate their contributions to nation-building, development, and community service. For Kir Yurusah, these honors served as a fitting culmination of his remarkable career spanning more than three decades of active service to Ghana.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Kir Yurusah’s influence extends to his role as a prominent figure in the Bissa Development Association (BDA), where he played a pivotal role in the formation of the Madina Zone.

His commitment to advocating for the development of the Bissa community has earned him recognition from the Brand Bissa Concept (BBC), where he has been listed twice among the Bissa excellence achievers.

As Kir Yurusah embarks on his retirement journey, these double awards serve as a resounding affirmation of his dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

His legacy will undoubtedly inspire generations to come, and his contributions to both his profession and his community will be remembered for years to come.
