The Islamic University College Ghana (IUCG) will host the inauguration of the National Bissa Youth Forum to be held on Saturday, August 12, the BDA has announced.
The 300-seat IUCG auditorium has been chosen as the venue for the highly anticipated programme, which seeks to build a strong Youth Wing for the Bissa fraternity.
The choice of venue comes from a handsome collaboration between the Association and the IUCG, which has a strong Bissa Student membership, while the choice of August 12 aligns with the significance of International Youth Day.

And it marks a triumphant return to the campus, three months after Bissa participated in and won the Rep Your Tribe contest organised by the school’s SRC.
After its meeting on Sunday, the NEC announced that it was going to hold a Hybrid programme, with a clarion call for more of its members to make it a point to attend the physical session.
“We have struck a deal with the Islamic University College Ghana to have the event held at its 300-capacity auditorium,” the BDA said.
“It’s a sigh of relief to have had such a kind gesture from the university, and we should be grateful for that.
“Even though it’s going to the hybrid programme, the benefit of physical interaction can’t be underestimated, and we wish to have more of our membership participating”.
Bissa made history at the school in May after winning the annual Rep Your Tribe contest for the second time in a row, and the BDA believes the venue gives off a refreshing atmosphere and actually fits the hosting of the forum launch.
“Hosting the inauguration at the IUCG is refreshing, and it will greatly contribute to the success and impact of our forum.,” the BDA said.
“We believe in ICUG’s strong advocacy for community development, which includes the Rep Your Tribe programme annually held in this institution, and as two-time winners of such an educational programme, we feel so excited about the IUCG brand.
“We greatly value their commitment to fostering community development and believe that partnering with them for their esteemed venue aligns perfectly with our goals.”
The event under the theme “Building a stronger association through Zekula: The Role of the Bissa Youth”, will bring together Bissa youth from various backgrounds, encouraging an open dialogue on important topics and creating a positive impact on the fraternity.

The Bissa Youth Forum is an initiative designed to empower and engage young individuals in the Bissa community. It fulfils the list of structures needed for the complete set-up of the BDA and is the arm of the association that aims to promote positive engagement and empower the youth to become active contributors to the development of the Bissa fraternity.
It will serve as a platform for young people to discuss pertinent issues, share ideas, and network, ultimately fostering collaboration and growth.
The association has therefore urged all Bissas to attend to play a pivotal role in the growth, development, and well-being of young individuals within our community.
