A Bissa mother has been adjudged as the 2020 Best Businesswoman in the Ejisu Municipality in an award event organised by the Ramseyer Cooperative Credit Union Service.
Hajia Basiratu Abdulai Bansi grabbed the prestigious award in the female category following years of exceptional transaction with the financial institution, which has resulted in a win-win situation for both partners.
She becomes one of the many Bissa women whose performance in the business world is worthy of praise.

At an event held on Wednesday 16th June, at the headquarters of the Cooperative Union, Basiratu Bansi took home a Deep Freezer, a gas cooker and undisclosed amount to be added to her shares with the Union.
The Bissa woman, in her 16 years of business activities, has impacted many lives in the Ejisu Municipality, becoming one of the major investors in the operation of the Union.
She currently owns several businesses within the Ejisu Municipality such as Boutiques, Food joint and also operated a wholesale shop of Soft Drinks and employs eleven persons.
The Best Business Women Award was designed by the Union to recognise the achievement of those women across a wide range of business categories
It aims to foster and encourage female entrepreneurship within the municipality and the region at large.
Winners were selected for their business acumen, determination, creativity, and passion for their industry.
The Bissa world is full of talented and dedicated female entrepreneurs who run successful businesses whilst often also juggling the needs of their families.
Hajia Basiratu Bansi’s achievement makes her one of a role model in the Bissa fraternity at a time the Bissa Development Association (BDA) is working on establishing a business desk for the Bissa people.
