The Greater Accra Regional executives of the Bissa Development Association (BDA) will visit the Ashiaman Community on Saturday on a mission to mobilize kinsmen and women for the fraternity.
The palace of Bissa Chief Alhaji Osman Bansi at Sika Fuo Ambantem will host the all-important meeting that comes just two months after the inauguration of the Greater Accra Regional Executive Committee (GIREC)
The visit comes as part of the regional body’s task to ensure more Bissas are brought under the “Zekula Umbrella”.
The day’s agenda includes establishing a BDA zone in Ashiaman, explaining the six strategic goals and networking.
Led by the chairman, Adam Shaibu Alale, the regional association will hold serious discussions with the people aimed at “achieving a long-running target of Bissa Unity”.
“Everyone agrees that a fresh approach could be helpful in building a strong BDA presence within the region,” Regional Chairman Shaibu Alale said.
“In achieving this long-running target for Bissa Unity, our people would want to hear more than mere word of Zekula; they will want to know our plans to move forward.
“It is a day for “Bissa Okudor” and we expect a huge gathering at the Chief’s Palace as we are equally prepared to give a much more convincing explanation to people for why the BDA is all that we have. That is our task, and that is exactly what we are committed to doing.”
The National Chairman Alhaji Shaibu Musah Gutare Zanni and some members from the National Executive Committee (NEC) will join the team for the trip to the community.
During the one-day visit to Ashiaman, leaders are expected to encourage members to join the BDA, give a speech on Bissa Unity and discuss ways to encourage members to subscribe to the flagship Nuna Dues-paying system.
It is the second of such visits to be embarked on within weeks after visiting some Bissa groups within the Nima-Mamobi area.
Saturday’s meeting will offer a platform to project the BDA’s strategic goals to the chiefs and people of Ashiaman, as the aim of building a formidable fraternity lives on.
The program will commence at 9 a.m., officials have said.
