Final ‘Duaaga’ for Garu Bissa Chief held

An intercessory prayer (Dua)  has been held  for  the late  Bissa Chief of Garu Alhaji Issah Dumburi, marking the final funeral rites performed for the  man, who died at age 101.

It comes  exactly 60 days after the demise of the centenarian, who reigned  for only  two  years.

Prayers were said, tributes were read and testimonies were given about the man, who spent his entire life serving humanity.

Kir Alhaji Issah Dumburi died on the  26th of January and Saturday’s Dua marked  the final funeral  of the rites performed for the dead in accordance to Islamic practices

It was a prayer-filled event, which was well attended by Bissas across the  country.

The centenarian  took ill  two months prior to his demise.

His dedicated service  to  Bissas  dates back to his boyhood days when he was working at the Asante Akyem Government Hospital in Ashanti region.

He became the Bissa Chief of Garu some few years back after  succeeding  his late brother.

He was survived by two wives, 22 children and 62 grandchildren.
