Fairuza Dabre: Daughter of Bissa royal family graduates from UCC

A young Bissa lady from the royal Dabre family in the Greater Accra region has graduated from the University of Cape Coast, successfully grabbing her first degree in a colourful fashion.

Fairuza Salifu Dabre graduated with a Degree in Education during the school’s 53rd Congregation ceremony held at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Thursday 29th October, 2020 due to the COVID 19 pandemic.

In strict adherence to the Covid-19 safety protocols, the ceremony was been divided into four sessions; the first and second came off on Thursday, October 29 and the others were held on Friday, October 30, 2020.

Three weeks after the ceremony to mark their success , bissanewsonline has gathered the daughter of the royal family was part of the total three thousand two hundred and ninety eight (3, 298) students, who graduated in first session of the university’s 2020 Congregation.

She is among the list of Bissas to have had their respective degrees conferred on them to mark the completion of their courses of study and a collective celebration of their hard work and achievements .

She also join the list of females in Bissa fraternity to have achieved success in their academic journeys this year.

She is the firsts daughter of Alhaji Salifu Amadu Dabre, alias Alhaji Bomber, an astute communicator and the press secretary to the Bissa chief of the Greater Accra region, Chief Mohammed Ali Dabre III.

Her success story came exactly a month ahead of the 10th anniversary celebration of the accession to power of the great Chief, who happens to be her paternal uncle.

The final semester for the 2019-2020 academic year became very challenging for students following the outbreak of the dreaded Coronavirus in the country.

The school closed its campus in early March and adopted a virtual lecturing session, which was followed by an examination in a similar fashion.

So far the University of Education Winneba, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the University of Cape Coast and the Ghana Institute of Journalism have held graduation, where Bissas hugely made a mark.
