The Office of the Lemagan has sent its Eid-ul Adha wishes to Bissa Muslim brothers and sisters in Ghana and beyond, calling for a “joyous and peaceful celebration.”
Muslims around the world are celebrating the festival of Eid al-Adha, which is one of two most important festivals in the Islamic calendar.
Eid-ul Adha, also known as the Feast of the Sacrifice, begins on the last day of Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca.
It commemorates Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son to God and during the festival, and it can be held in three days period.
As part of it’s administrative role in the Bissa fraternity, the office, led by the Lemagan Dominic Sori Payida, released the statement, as Muslims begin the three-day festival on Saturday 9th July.
