A young Bissa lady Dr. Farida Ganform Adam (Tarnageda) was on Friday, 17th June 2022, inducted into office by the Ghana Medical and Dental Council in a ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Centre.
It comes after a successful completion of a six-year professional Medical Programme at the University of Ghana Medical School, Korle Bu.
She was among 138 Medical graduates administered into the Hippocratic Oath becoming full members of the sector to augment the strength of the few number of Doctors in the country.
Becoming a medical doctor has been Farida’s childhood dream since her academic journey began and achieving it defined a proud and glorious moment for a lady in her early 20s.
Having graduated from the Mfantsiman School in 2016, Miss Tarnegeda was admitted into the University of Ghana Medical School in 2017 to pursue a childhood dream.
She began her academic journey at Vicans Nursey school at Djorwulu before joining UPS Legon Primary school.
Born to a Tarnegeda dad and a Yaala Mum, the young Medical doctor is named “Ganform” to signify the glory of God to the family.
As the only daughter of her mum, Farida was joined by family members, friends and loved ones to celebrate her successful certification to join the noble profession.
It was a moment of pride for her mum Fati Yaala and the Bissas fraternity as her achievement adds a feather in the cup of the fraternity.
She is one of two children of her hardworking mum and thus represents a very important personality of the family.
She has since been added to the Bissa Health Professionals Union, a platform created for the purpose of connecting with players in the health sector.
Friday’s events had inductees who had completed their six and seven-year professional programmes from the four Medical and Dentistry schools in the country, namely the School of Medical and Dentistry of the University of Ghana, the School of Medical and Dentistry of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST), the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University for Development Studies (UDS) and the School of Medical Sciences of the University of Cape Coast.
