The National Women’s Commissioner of the Bissa Development Association (BDA), Madam Dora Kulariba Sewuni, has obtained her Masters in Public Health from the Ghana Institute of Management and Professional Administration, partaking in a graduation ceremony held on Friday, December 17.
It was a moment of pride for Madam Dorah as she found her name among the many who have successfully accomplished their academic journey in style, having combined it with work.
Grabbing a Master of Public Health degree adds to her various academic credentials in the health sector.
She holds a BSc in Public Health Nursing, a Certificate in Midwifery, and a Certificate in Community Health Nursing Professions.
And she was at the Greenhill Campus on Friday to cap off her new feat with a colorful ceremony as families joined the merry.
It comes after years of experience in practicing as a nurse, where she has passed through the ranks to become the principal nurse of the regional hospital in Bolgatanga.
The feats chalked up by Madam Dora make her a big role model for thousands of Bissa youth, and that is exactly what she is doing at the BDA.
A native of Kultamsi (Naare), she was appointed Women’s Commissioner on March 13, 2021, as one of eight officers appointed to serve under the Gutare administration.
She is a passionate public health nurse with a specialization in sexual and reproductive health who loves to work with adolescents and youth.
She currently works at the Adolescent Focal Person Ghana Health Service in Bolgatanga and has vast experience in the sector.
She is one of 3 leaders of the Bissa Health Professionals Union.
