Coach Mohammed Gargo (Yemboni) takes charge of Nsoatreman FC

Former Ghana international, Mohammed Gargo (Yemboni) has been appointed Head Coach of  Nsoatreman FC, making his second coaching appearance in the Ghana Premier League for next season.

The Yemboni man has joined the newly promoted Ghana Premier League outfit on a two-year deal after fruitful negotiations as the club prepares for their first ever premier league campaign in the 2022/23 season.

He replaces Coach Boniface Ayipah who qualified Nsoatreman FC to play in the next season’s Ghana Premier League.

Coach Boniface Ayipah will not be eligible to head the team in the Ghana top-flight league next season due to license issue hence the engagement with Mohammed Gargo.

Gargo becomes the second Yemboni after his Cousin Coach Ibrahim Tanko to have reached a new deal at top football level.

An club say they are happy to have engaged the services of the Bissa man.

Gargo was a member of the Ghana national team that won the bronze medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona and gold in the 1991 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Italy.

After a successful career as a footballer, Mohammed Gargo started after his retirement the job as coach in February 2010 by New Edubiase United, qualifying the to the Ghana Premier League.

He then joined his boyhood club Real Tamale United in August, 2010.

He was appointed manager of Ghana Premier League club BA United in March 2015, but was but had left the club after one match when he accused his players of betting against themselves.

The following year,  a short spell in charge of Okwawu United ended when he fell out with his players again, this time accusing them of “sexually promiscuous acts” in the club house.

In September 2018 Namibian Premier League club Tura Magic F.C. signed a contract with Gargo as their head coach.

He has coached clubs like New Edubiase, RTU, Okwahu United, Tura Magic, African Stars and Steadfast FC.
