Chire Adams Bansi: Bissa Chief of New Jersey leads Ghanaian Muslim delegation to meet the Mayor of Newark City

Bissa Chief of New Jersey Chire Alhaji Ibrahim Adams on Tuesday, February 14, led some Ghanaian Muslims to the office of Mayor of Newark City Ras Jua Baraka after a successful Daawa program held in New Jersey.

It comes a day after they had participated in a symposium held in New Jersey.

The Muslim delegation, led by ace Islamic preacher Hajia Aida Gibril, were on a Daawa mission at the US upon the invitation of Hijratus Sunnah, a newly established Islamic Charity Organisation.

And following an incredible lecturer delivered by Hajia Aida at the symposium, Chire Adam, who is a member of Hijratus Sunnah, facilitated the meeting between the renowned Islamic Scholar and the Mayor.

At the mayor’s office the delegation was received three Council Members led by Rev. Louise Scott Rountree, who presented a Pin of honour, the city shield a medal and a certificate to Hajia Aida.

Rev. Rountree expressed her happiness to meet Hajia Aida and her powerful delegation especially with Chire Ibrahim Adams involved.

She described Chire Ibrahim Adam as family member of the Newark City Hall, through whom, the city of Newark has established strong ties with Ghana.

She reiterated that Chire has given them the key to the African community in New Jersey and has been doing incredibly excellent in transcending the administration’s agenda to the African community.

She said likwise Hajia Aida is always welcome to the city hall anytime and expressed hopes that the relationship will grow stronger.

She praised the Islamic Scholar of her effort in uplifting the girl child education and her orphanage program which will not only uplift the girl child, but the up-and-coming youth in General.

Rev. Rountree futher thanked Hajia Aida for being the mother of the motherless in Her community.  Rountree said the City of Newark is willing to communicate with Hajia Aida in any program she comes up with to empower the youth and the women in particular.

Hajia Aida Gibril then expressed her appreciation to the city of Newark fo the honor done her and prayed that may Allah elevate the good work of Mayor Ras Baraka and added that it is her prayers that “we will wake up one day and see Mayor Ras Baraka as the President of the United States”.

Expressing his delight, Chire Adams, who doubles as the Bissa Chief of Aworokorom in the Ashanti Region, took the opportunity to inform the city hall of the search of place for Hijratus Sunnah to build a Mosque and a community center.

In her response, Rev. Rountreee said the city of newark will do everything withing its ability to help and that she will keep chir informed of whatever is at their disposal to help make their dream a reality

On behalf of Chir Adam, Lawyer Hamza, who is the PRO for Hijratus Sunnah, expressed the delight of this exceptional reception accorded the delegation.

The symposium held on February 13 was the first of its kind being organized by Hijuratus Sunnah, which received huge attendance by Muslim population from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Among the members of the Hijratus Sunnah, who made the trip is Sheikh Bashir Serwuni, who is the Bissa Imam for New Jersey.

The Hijratus Sunnah was established last year to champion the well-being of Muslims across the world.
