He urged the executives of the BBC to work hard to make the initiative a success.
He becomes one of the list of great Bissa men to have endorsed and pledged their support for the project, which seeks to develop communities through education.
Community development projects come directly under the ministry of Inner-Cities and Zongo Development as it seeks to to empower the indigenes of Inner-Cities and Zongo (MICZD) communities through a Coordinated Programme of Economic and Social Development Policies

His support comes as a huge boost to the initiative that has multiple benefits through the promotion of the Bissa brand, the BBC said.

As part of the initiative 10,000 exercise books have been earmarked for distribution to Bissa children in the Basic and second cycle institutions.

It is the BBC’s maiden project to be launched since it’s formation in July.
According to the CEO of BBC, Mohammed Abdul Malik Guerm the organisation is set to begin the book donation in early October to commensurate with the return of the form 2 students at both a SHS and JHs.
“This is to promote the Bissa brand, and promoting the Bissa brand has a direct relationship with to the development of Communities, which falls under your ministry” he said.
“We are supporting the education of Bissa children, which we want to start in October as we have those in form 2 returning to school in accordance to the president’s directives.
“We want to ensure the project will go in line with the academic calendar.
“Everything will begin as soon as are we are done with all the operational arrangements.”

Abdul Malik Guerm hailed the minister for his “motivational words” describing it as “refreshing to the Bissa course”.

He believes the minister’s support is all that the BBC needed to hit the ground with the program.

“I would thank you for your motivational words as it sounds refreshing to the Bissa course,” he said.
“We have received a big boost with which we are going to work hard to ensure the success of this project.

“We are already in motion and all we needed was to meet Bissas like you to urge us on,” he added.

Tuesday’s meeting with the minister adds up to the various moves being employed to solicit for funds and ideas to make the project come to fruition.
He thus become the second person in the political space to have been visited by the BBC, after the organisation made a similar visit earlier to former Youth and Sports minister Dr Mustapha Ahmed.

Three members of the BBC, led by the CEO Mohammed Abdul Malik Guerm, made the visit to the Ministry on Tuesday.

The other members were the Project Manager Meyonne Surugu and Yakub Zeba.
