Bissa Ashanti Region is set to fight for honour in the maiden Ashanti Region Inter Tribal Football Gala competition, which Kick-starts on Tuesday July 12, 2022.
Placed in Group D, Bissas have a tough task against Hausa, Zabarma and Gonja.
The Aboabo Middle B Park is hosting all the 32 matches, which kick of at 4:30 pm each Day.
The 16 different tribes will battle it for honour and bragging right in the competition that is purposely played to promote peace and unity in the community and also provide footballers the chance to showcase their talent.
Bissas have twice failed to go beyond the Semis in the previous two editions played in the Greater Accra.
But the Ashanti Regional team is poised for a different story on that day when the the whistle for action is blown, team leaders have said.
Teams have been divided into four groups with the best two team in each group qualifying to the next stage of the competition.
Asante will face Mamprusi in the opening game of the tournament on Tuesday.
It is a 32 days of exciting football Fiesta of which Bissas are optimistic of grabbing the ultimate.
The Ashanti Region thus becomes the second to host the inter-tribal competition after the Greater Accra region.
