The Bissa ethnic group will participate in the maiden cultural event dubbed Tribe Fest 2023 to be held in Accra on Sunday as the fraternity ceises the opportunity to display it’s Colourful culture to the world.
Bissa is amongst some 15 ethnic groups invited for the maiden event that heralds all activities for the year 2023
The move to partake in the maiden event comes under the auspices of the Greater Accra Council of Bissa Chiefs in collaboration with Bissa Development Association (BDA).
The Obuasi Cultural troupe are billed to represent Bissas for the event that seeks to provide a platform for Ghanaians to display their talents, and the multifaceted culture to the rest of the World.
The Bissa Chief of Greater Accra and the president of Regional Council of Bissa Chiefs, Kir Mohamed Ali Dabre III is expected to lead a high powerful delegation to the venue, having been the one on whose hands the invitation was sent.
Executive of the BDA,led by it’s Chaiman Shaibu Musa Gutare is also expected to be present as the fraternity displays to sell Bissa Culture to the large spectators.
The 1st January event to be held at the forecourt of the Accra Tourist Information centre is a uniquely designed event that seeks to showcase and celebrate the vibrancy of Ghana’s diverse tribal communities through its dance and cultural expressions, organisers say.
The multi-sensory event is expected to bring visitors and participants both locally and internationally to enjoy a concentrated experience of food, art, music.
The festival being spearhead by goodies media worldwide- aims to promote Ghana’s cultural heritage through its dances while allowing guests to intimately acquaint themselves with Ghanaian customs and traditions.
According to the organizers of the event, the broader goal of the festival is “to reconnect with our African tradition and ancestry while supporting, brothers and sisters in other countries and the larger community of Africans across the world”.
Entry is by ticketing, which goes for GHS 50 per person.
