The Bissa students of the Islamic University College Ghana (IUCG) will, on Thursday, April 27, participate in the second edition of the 2023 “Rep Your Culture” Competition in defense of the title they won last year.
They go in search of another ethnic glory as other groups look set to cause an upset.
It is a tribal pitching program that educates Ghanaians and the global community about the various cultural values and heritage of the people.
The in-campus competition becomes the topliner among all academic activaties for the week.
It is meant to promote academic development through culture and unity, where student groups will have the opportunity to explore and express their ethnic culture in a friendly and encouraging environment in front of a panel of judges.
Winning is determined solely based on the highest score achieved by group performance under the judging criteria.
Bissa won the first edition organised last year and are determined to achieve the same feat on Thursday.
The program is organised by the SRC with the aim of promoting inter-cultural harmony.
It was started last year with about 8 participating tribes, out of which the Bissa emerged winner.
