Bissa Chief of Gomoa Fetteh Kir Mustapha Dawuda Lengani on Thursday paid a courtesy call on the Chiefs of Kasoa and Nyanyano, pledging to work in strengthening ties with the other Bissa Chiefs in the Central region.
kir Dawuda Lengani and his entourage embarked on the familiarity visit ahead of his formal investiture by the Bissa leadership in the region.
It was his first visit after his installation in January this year and the meeting was used to officially announce his ascension to the Bissa seat in Fetteh land.
They were however met by representatives of the Chiefs as both were not available for the event.
The team first visited the palace of Kir Hussein Abdul Hamid Kumbo of Kasoa before they all moved to Kir Zakari Bayire’s place in Nyanyano.
At the Kasoa Palace, they were received on arrival by the Waziri, Hussein Bussim, on behalf of Kir Kumbo, who is currently outside the country.
The team then proceeded to the Nyanyano Palace , where Kir Dawuda Lengani was formally introduced to the Galadima, Issah Seidu Yankini, on behalf of Kir Zakari Bayire.
Kir Dawuda Lengani is young and dynamic and his arrival marks an extension of Bissa influence across the county and a feather in the cap for the Bissa people of the Central region.
He is the first ever Bissa Chief of Gomo Fetteh and was installed by the traditional authorities of the land and subsequently endorsed by the Central Regional Council of Bissa Chiefs.
He became a man of choice for the Fetteh people after years of dedication and truthfulness in his dealings with them.
Having already passed through all the rituals in the hands of the Fetteh Traditional Council, he is now set for a formal investiture by the Bissa leadership.
The Central region has a very large Bissa population, whose hardworking and trustworthiness have been hailed by the original owners of the lands.
