BDA set for a 2-Day tour of Northern and Upper East regions

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Bissa Development Association will from Saturday, 24th July 2021 begin a 2-Day visit to the Northnern and Upper East regions to carry out its ongoing Sensitisation and Reorganisation programme, calling for total support from Bissas in the host regions.

The Chairman Alhaji Shaibu Musah Gutare Zanni, will lead a powerful deligation to the two regions for the all important event of which  many Bissas are excepted to be in attendance.

It is a packed event that will see the NEC visit Tamale, Bolgatanga and Bawku within 24 hours.

Being the second phase of the exercise, the two days meeting tha will offer a big opportunity for executives to interact with Bissas across the regions as the Gutare Zanni-led administration seeks to bring the association to the doorsteps of all Bissas.

The  first event in Tamale will be held  at the Department of Rural Housing yard in the city at 10 O clock in the morning.

The delegation will then proceed to the Upper East Regional capital, Boltanga on the same day before it would complete the second phase of their journey at Bawku on Sunday.

The Association has already carried similar programme in the Ashanti regionalAshanti regional capital Kumasi, which marked the first phase of the reorganisation and sensitisation exercise.

The Sensitisation and Reorganisation Exercise is in line with the BDA’s Strategic Plan of  identifying committed Bissas in the regions and speak to them to mobilise themselves for the growth of the association.

In the plan, any region that can register (name, phone number and location) up to 50 Bissas who pay at least GHc1.00 or any of the benefits scheme dues category qualifies to be inaugurated by NEC.

It requires existing regional structures must show records of registered members of up to 50 and dues payment to qualify for fresh elections to be organised.

Upon attaining at least 50 members in good standing, NEC will within 3 months, open nomination for the various positions and advertise for interested members to contest. Leadership at the regions should as much as possible include persons from potential zonal areas.

After inauguration, regional executives are to within one month, submit their proposed zonal structures to NEC for approval

The Electoral College will be made up of members who are registered with their phone numbers and location as well as being dues paying members for at least 3 months preceding the elections within their regions

The Upper West and Brong  will follow in the 3rd Phase of the exercise, which will commence 31st July.
