TRIBUTE TO THE MEMORY OF A CHIEF, A BDA ORGANIZER AND A HUMBLE SERVANT OF GOD, ALHAJI OSMAN ISSAKA NOMBRE (AKA ALHAJI WEAPON)

The Lemagan and his Council of Elders, the Chairman and members of the National Executive Committee, Regional Executives and all members of the BDA family received with shock the sad news of your passing to glory.

When the morale of Bissas towards the BDA was at its lowest since its formation, you were one of five 5 persons who responded to the call to serve in leadership. You automatically became the National Organizer.

Since taking over the position of National Organizer, you participated actively in most Sensitization tours across some regions in Ghana. You also singlehandedly toured parts of Eastern Region, Central Region and the Ashanti Region to meet with Bissas. Most of these tours you embarked on with your own resources.

As a Chief in the Palace of Chief Dabre, you used your influence in the Palace to coordinate and promote BDA agenda by using the various youth Chiefs as a pillar to organize the Greater Accra Zones. With your efforts, we have already identified about 45 zones. You organized sensitization visits to Awoshie, Chief Dabre’s Palace, Maamobi and Fan Milk.

While we continued to prepare to visit many other zones, the few we managed to visit were excited with our message and were happy to be part of the BDA.

Your commitment to the BDA was beyond measure. You devoted over 90% of your time and energy to the BDA. When I asked for volunteers to MC at our beloved Lady King’s funeral on 4th December, you quickly responded that you will MC the Ga version. As per the Will of Allah, that date will soon be known to also be your 7th Day Adua.

Alhaji Weapon, you paid your due to your family, Bissa and your community at large. Many mourners, old and young, men and women, who thronged your family home at Alajo to morn you could not hold back their tears 😭.

Your sacrifices could not have received a better recognition than the announcement that the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Sharabutu himself, had to cancel his flight to Nigeria in order to come and lead your Jannaza prayers before your burial.

The presence of over One Thousand mourners in your house and burial was the best testimony of who you were. We loved and cherished you, but clearly, Allah loved you most.

We express our condolences to your wives, children and the entire Nombre families of Alajo and Mamobi and by extension, to the Kir Dabre Palace and ourselves as BDA for such a great loss.

May Allah grant you Jann’ah and may your death inspire a generation of Service and Sacrifice to humanity. What was witnessed at your burial on the 28th of November 2021, could not have been commanded by political power nor wealth. It was only possible due to your fear of Allah, humility and service to mankind.

Brother, continue to be Allah’s guest till we meet again 🙏🏽😭

For and on behalf of the Bissa Development Assn. (BDA).
