The leadership of the Bissa Development Association (BDA) on Saturday paid a courtesy call on the Greater Accra Council of Bissa Chiefs at the Ali Dabre palace, briefing the august house of the three-year Strategic Plan being developed.
Chairman of the association Shaibu Musah Gutare Zanni led a four (NEC) member delegation to attend the meeting chaired by Chief Mohammed Ali Dabre III.
It comes exactly 55 days after the NEC took office to steer the affairs of the Association for the next three years.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Zanni outlined the development programs of the Association, calling for support from the Chiefs and people of the Greater Accra.
“We are at your presence today to formally introduce ourselves and brief you about a Strategic Plan that we were in the process of developing for our three year mandate,” he said.
” We will need inputs from various identifiable Bissa groups and associations such as our eminent Chiefs among others.
“We specifically needed your input on goal 3 that has to do with Improving Bissa Culture through Chiefs and elders.
“As Chiefs, your contribution to improve Bissa culture and language cannot be disregarded.”
It was the NEC’s first ever visit after taken office on 6th March 2021.
Members who made it to the palace are Chairman Shaibu Musah Gutare Zanni, the Secretary Saad Kanbusu Seidu, the deputy secretary Abdul Malik Guerm and the organiser Alhaji Issaka Nombre, who doubles as the “Hallema Kir” of Greater Accra.
About 30 chiefs and elders of the Greater Accra Bissa fraternity made it to the Ali Dabre palace for the special event which was capped off with an “iftar” session.
