A GREAT BISSA GOES HOME
Bissa Christians have a popular gospel titled: “Kun Jezzu ba bu, Oti doole” Meaning, when Jesus comes, we shall go home.
While we are still anticipating the second coming of Jezzu, our son, brother, father and Uncle Rev. Dr. Martin Bugri Nabor has responded to the call of the Lord. As we get ready to troupe to the Unity Congregation, Tamale tomorrow morning to pay our last respects, and consequently go to your home town of Kultamisi for your interment, we convert our tears into prayers for God’s mercies for our dear Rev. Dr. Nabor.
Dr. Nabor was a kind hearted, affable and friendly personality. His status as a pastor or holder of PHD did not distance him from the ordinary person. His commitment to BDA and Bissa matters were without boundaries. He traveled from any city where he lived in the south to attend BDA meetings and conferences in Accra.
In 2021, when NEC embarked on a six region tour including Tamale, Rev. Nabor was with the gathering. Not only did he attend most of our functions, his contributions during meetings were rich and valuable. In fact, the BDA is what it is today, because Bissa men and women of substance like him, sacrificed to stand out to be counted as Bissas.
Father!! Whom did you assign to take your place and say a Christian prayer for us during meetings? We will forever miss you.
Be assured that you may be gone too soon, but will not be forgotten. We your fellow kinsmen and women will continue to pray for you like you did for those before you, till we meet again.
