The CEO of Brand Bissa Concept (BBC), Tanko Abdul Malik Guerm, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary of the Bissa Development Association.
He is the latest to accept an appointment to serve in the new BDA administration, chaired by Alhaji Shaibu Musah Gutare Zani.
He comes in with journalism and public relations (PR) backgrounds, having established Bissanewsonline and the Brand Bissa Concept (BBC), respectively.
His journalism experience dates back to 2014, when he cut his teeth in the media industry at Zuria FM in Kumasi, a radio station owned by a Bissa man.
In 2020, he established the Brand Bissa Concept, a PR agency that focuses on creating projects and organising events for the benefit of Bissas.
He is among the founding members of the Bissa Fitness Club but one of the new faces in the BDA.
The Takoradi-based Bissa man, from the Bussoum clan, is among some eight individuals who have been appointed to serve in different capacities under the Gutare-led administration.
He is a product of Kumasi Anglican Senior High (Super KASS) and also a graduate of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
Having accepted to deputize the substantive BDA Secretary, Guerm will be one of the eight officers to be sworn into office on Saturday, March 13th, in a private ceremony via Zoom.
They will join the five elected executives after the swearing-in ceremony to formalize the establishment of a 13-member National Executive Committee (NEC) to steer the affairs of the BDA for the next three years.
