The Bissa Chief Imam of Bawku Zakariya Yunus Musah Bandao has passed on aged 75.
Imam Z died on the early hours of Thursday and has been buried in accordance to Islmaic tradition.
The family of the late Imam announced his death to Bissa fraternity, expressing sorrow for the loss of the man who is highly respected across the region.
“We are sorry to inform the our house that the Bissa chief Imam for Bawku has passed away this morning.The Jannaizah is at 11am,” it said.
Imam Zakariya Yunus Musah Bandao was regarded as a very influential man within the Bissa fraternity, due to his exceptional services to humanity.
His demise comes just a week after the Bissa fraternity was hit with death of the Bissa Chief Imam of Obuasi.
The final intercession prayer (Adua) for the late Imam is scheduled for Sunday 28th March, 2021, according to the family.
