A Bissa lady has been adjudged the best Midwife/Nurse in Ashanti region at an awards programme held during the celebration of the 2021 Nurses Week.
Aisha Bawa Hamisu Zampaligiri, a Midwife with the Manhyia Goverment Hospital, won the overall best, beating competitions from two other finalists.
She was placed in a category that involves both males and females in the noble profession.
Competitors were selected from all the Metropolitan, municipal and district health facilities, but it was Aisha Zampaligidi whose dedicated services in the year won her the topmost award.
The winner was chosen on the bases of innovation , dedication and hard work.
For her prize, she received a citation, and is now set to represent the Ashanti region at the National best Midwifes/Nurses awards, which will be held in December this year.
With 8 years experience in service, Zampaliri’s day of honour came amid the call on Nurses and Midwives to “lead in the vision for a Transformed Health Care in a Post COVID-19 world.”
A wife and mother of two, Zampaligidi has been exceptional at her facility and has over the years been hailed by her patience.
She becomes one of a role model, whose story can inspire other young health practitioners to give off their best for the country.
