Midfielder Abdul Aziz Nurudeen (Bandaogo) has signed a new contract with Accra Hearts of Oak, extending his stay with the Phobians until 2025.

The Phobians confirmed completing a new deal with the 24-year-old after fruitful negotiations.

The defensive midfielder, who joined the Phobians in the 2019-20 season, is currently recuperating after undergoing successful knee surgery in South Africa.

The former Vision FC star played a little but vital role in the Hearts’ success story in the 2020/21 season, as injury took him out of more of the club’s treble-winning journey.

He made a delightful comeback last season, but his services would be curtailed once more by a nagging injury, which necessitated a surgery in South Africa.

Nurudeen is known for his technique, vision, and efficient style of play, as well as his dribbling, passing, crossing, and tackling abilities.

He possesses the ability to read the game, break down opposing plays, and subsequently start counter-attacks, causing his absence to be hugely felt by the Rainbow Club.

And with the new 3-year deal, the versatile midfielder is expected to heal in time and be in his prime.

Nurudeen was a member of the Ghana national under-23 football team in 2019, which failed to qualify for the Olympic Games after placing 4th in the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
