About 14 Bissas brought honor to themselves and their families after successfully graduating from the University of Education, Winneba,(UEW) in a colorful ceremony held on Saturday, March 27.
At the school’s 31st Congregation, the 14 students, comprising 10 males and4 females, obtained their respective degrees to cap off their academic journey in style.
They were among a total of 12, 966 students who graduated from the school’s various campuses across the country.
They were each decorated with a medal to add more color to the ceremony, which was held at the north campus.
Every graduate had either a family member or a friend present to celebrate the feat, making the ceremony a well-attended one.
The 27th Congregation was held in sessions between Monday 27th March to Saturday April 1st
The success story of the 14 comes just days after 12 other Bissa students graduated from the Islamic University, while about 8 graduated from the University of Ghana.
Out of the total, 385 students were awarded diplomas, while 11,690 obtained first degrees, with 921 grabbing postgraduate degrees.
Over the years, University of Winneba has topped the chart as the school producing the highest number of Bissa graduates every year.
It has the strongest Bissa Student Union (BSU) among all the universities in the country, and the 14 graduates represent just the names captured by the union in its data.
